PLAY Utah will listen to you and assist you in evaluating your requirements and choosing the best products for your project that are compliant with CPSC, ASTM standards and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG).

Playground Design

Ultimately, it is about the creation of an exciting recreational experience for the playground enthusiast of any age and ability. Our playground designs are imagination building and sensory rich environments for the young and the young at heart. We take into consideration the effect of each suggested piece of equipment on the tactile, visual, and auditory senses; the development of balance and control and knowledge of one’s own body in relation to movement and spatial orientation. We consider the development of both social interplay, imagination, and self-confidence.

Our design components include site analysis, needs assessment and conformity to local and federal regulations. Construction Management

PLAY Utah is prepared to step into whatever size role your project demands. We are experienced in assembling and managing a team of contractors to complete your project in a timely manner from the moment you break ground to your ribbon cutting ceremony. We will monitor expenses to stay within the desired budget and create a critical path timeline that meets both your financial requirements and completion deadline.

Full utilization of the construction management services at PLAY Utah results in a turnkey operation that includes, design, purchase, installation, construction and fundraising consultations and services.

Retrofit Installations

Extend the life of an existing playground with new components to remain in compliance with ASTM and ADAAG state and federal guidelines, provide inclusion play equipment, replace damaged items or add new life and excitement. Retrofits provide upgrades with a reasonable financial outlay. Ask your PLAY Utah consultant to access your opportunities for extending the life of your current playground.

Assisted & Community Build

Projects may be installed by factory certified craftsmen, community members or a combination of both. PLAY Utah will assist you in determining the requirements for each piece of equipment or amenity and the feasibility of providing appropriate installation by each type of group to provide you with the most budget conscious installation that meets all state and federal safety guidelines.

Fund Raising

Ask your PLAY Utah representative about strategies for effective fundraising events, grant resources, and purchasing cooperatives. PLAY Utah will afford access to a database of Federal, State and private foundation grants that are available to schools and not-for-profit organizations. We can even help qualifying groups assistance in writing the grants. Those who qualify may access the TCPN or HGAC Purchasing Cooperative through PLAY Utah to leverage the buying power of governmental purchasing cooperatives.
